Job description

The duties of the Medical Officer's shall include, but not limited to the following:

Principal Accountabilities:

To recognize and safely treat common ailments and to deliver emergency care to Advance Cardiac Life Support standard.

To issue drug and maintain drug inventory system.

To supervise Public Health aspect of the catering services and living quarters.

To recognize and report an Occupational Illness. (01).

To assist in Health Risk Assessment (HRA) and monitor changes.

To update Hearing Conservation Programme. (HCP)

To administer the Site/Emergency Response.

To conduct First Aid training for newly appointed first aiders and refresher training for existing first aiders.

To monitor mandatory safety training for validity and provide feedback to Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) when necessary.

To participate in inspection of kitchen & living quarters.

To use computer Microsoft system.

To conduct site Safety & Health briefing for personnel coming on board.

To assist Muster Checker and Recorder for Emergency Response Team (ERT) especially on minimum manned installation.

To do flight booking.

Additional Task:

To do Health Hazard Identification (HHI) .

To participate as Occupational Health (OH) resource on site inspection programme.

To carry out Occupational Health training on site (e.g. first aid, Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE), Hearing Conservation Programme (HOP) and execute Accident Control Technique (ACT) and OH compliance check in the field.

To ensure Health Surveillance compliance.

To assist in investigation of Occupational Illness.

To maintain, update & utilize assessment result of HRA as part of OH promotion.

To provide input on Health Risk into Job Hazard Assessment Permit To Work. (JHA/PTW)

To provide advice on health aspect related to chemical usage and control and responsible for the chemical custodian.

Job requirements

Minimum education level :	Diploma level
Study field :	Medical Science or equivalent
Required skill(s) :	There is no value added skill required
Working experience :	5 years

State Registered Nurse or equivalent with at least 5 years post qualified experience with local government general hospital/policlinic and shall be reviewed/approved by COMPANY's Medical Doctor.

The person shall be able to perform First Aid and nursing duties independently.
