The Client is also tasked with addressing environmental issues in relation to sewerage. One of its significant achievements has been the total Treated Sewerage Effluent (TSE) Project. Developments are also underway for a national storm drainage plan and sewerage plants in all Kingdom.

 

Computer Software Specialist

Job description

    • Prepares and plans for the installation of new system and packaged software.

    • Installs, tests and implements new system and packaged software.

    • Sets up and maintains the required libraries, procedures, books, databases and tables to start up the rest and production systems.

    • Attends to system, application and database related problems encountered by the production and development users.

    • Implements problem resolutions received from the appropriate software support organization.

    • Ensures that the quality of the service delivered to the users is maintained to an acceptable level of user satisfaction.

    • Conduct normal or emergency start-up or shutdown procedures of the computer system.

    • Assists in the implementation of new applications.

    • Trains the user community with respect to new or modified application features.

    • Studies existing procedures and identifies areas of potential improvement.

    • Administers day-to-day activities in Development tools.

    • Assists designers and developers on the use of the tools.

    • Carries upgrading of existing software and applications to newer releases.

    • Monitors the quality of printed results by visual observation.

    • Performs other duties and related tasks as may be required from time to time.


Job requirements

 
Minimum education level : Bachelors Degree level
Study field : Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
Required skill(s) : Provide support to project team in the use of the Case Tools and assists in the administration of the Case Tools. Work as an internal resource supporting the development and programming
Working experience : 5 years


    • Bachelors/Master Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science

    • Certification in tools/subjects related to area of proficiency.

    • 2-3 years of experience as Software Specialist in a reputed enterprise.

    • At least 2-3 years experience in handling/supporting major MIS projects.

    • Experience of Oracle eBusiness packaged software and supporting technologies

  • implementation & upgrades.

    • Good knowledge of Oracle APPS (Release 11, Release 12).

    • In depth knowledge of Oracle software and technologies that may include the following PL/SQL, Java, and JSP, JDeveloper, Workflow Builder, Discoverer, Forms and Forms Personalization Should have good experience in XML and BI Publisher.

    • Development experience in Reports, Interfaces, Customizations and Extensions using Oracle development tools.

    • Experienced in designing and tuning of complex SQL statements for the XML data definitions.

    • Expert knowledge in creating, modifying and designing XML reports.

    • Expert knowledge of building complex rtf templates.
