Our Client, a PMC Company, for The Electrified Double Track Project from Ipoh/Perak to Padang Besar/Perlis West Malaysia. This is a Malaysian government project for modernization the northern sector of the national railway network and to complement the government’s plan to develop the Northern Corridor Economic Region. The RM12.5bil project is to replace the Peninsular Malaysia’s northern railway.

Upgrade the transportation infrastructure through modernization of rail facilities to meet future passenger and freight train services demands. To increase the railway network capacity to provide more train services. Alleviate road traffic congestion problems through the introduction of a reliable and modern commuter service. Shorten traveling time for people traveling from Ipoh/Perak to Padang Besar/Perlis and vice versa.To enhance KTMB’s operating revenue. Contribute to a cleaner environment by promoting the use of electricity as the source of power. Enable the liberalization of the railway industry.

The scope of Works for this project is a follow :-
1. Engineering Design of infrastructure and system works.
2. Construction of infrastructure works.
3. Construction of system works.
4. Testing and commissioning.

Senior Engineer - Signaling job position which is specializing in Engineering - Civil / Construction is offered on Normal Hours/Contracts basis. Job description

    Purpose of the Job:



    • To ensure the management of project comply with the scope, time, cost and quality desired by the client.


    Key Position Functions:



    1. To monitor and control the work done by contractor according to the specifications and drawings.

    2. To check work progress on site as per schedule/CPM and prepare the report.

    3. To assist the Manager in preparing monthly progress report.

    4. To assist the Manager in preparing related reports and letters.

    5. To analyze and verify Method Statement submitted by the contractor and makes appropriate recommendations to protect the interest of the client.

    6. To take necessary follow up action on various construction issues especially related to local authority requirements.

    7. To monitor, control and enforce the specifications and requirements in aspect of quality and safety of the work.

    8. To evaluate and verify the progress claim submitted by the contractor.

    9. To liaise on work related issues with consultants and client’s representative when required.

    10. To perform any other related duties that management / client may require from time to time.



Job requirements

 
Minimum education level : Bachelors Degree level
Study field : Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent
Required skill(s) : There is no value added skill required
Working experience : 10 years



    • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering.

    • Minimum 10 years experience in Project Supervision and 5 years in Project Management.


    Competencies – Knowledge & Skills:



    1. Advance knowledge in Electrification, Signaling and Communication System works in Electrified Rail Project or other related works.

    2. Knowledge in Project Management.

    3. Knowledge in Contract Administration.

    4. Skills in chairing and conducting a meeting.

    5. Skills in coordination works among the consultants.

    6. Good PR with client.

    7. Can work independently.

    8. Computer literate.

    9. Able to write and speak in English.
